Anybody seeking information needs to know that it is free from bias or self-interest.
As an independent healthcare charity providing information and posting independent
comment onto our website we have strict guidelines against allowing pharmaceutical
companies - individual clinicians or linked organisations to fund us, this independence
comes at a cost. That’s why we need your support.
Note
Commercial sponsorship of health-related research and information is of course, not
an issue of concern uniquely to Proventus.
Any perception that for-profit commercial organisations, notably but not exclusively,
the pharmaceutical industry and medical device manufacturers, were influencing the
information provided or actions undertaken by Proventus would damage our reputation
for impartiality and being outspoken.
Proventus is a non-profit making organisation, operated entirely by volunteers and
depends on donations and sponsorship to sustain its efforts, we are an independent
group with aims – and expenses! These range from creating and running this web site,
to printing and postage, our phone response service, the research we undertake and
so on.
Proventus has kept all costs to a minimum but still need your help to keep going.
Any donation will help keep us and even spread our scope. All sums received go directly
towards achieving our objectives - donate online.

Complaints
Proventus does not accept complaints lodged electronically - this is because of past
attempts at abuse and misrepresentation. If you have any complaint please tender
it in writing addressed to.
