A person experiencing the symptoms caused by this condition can find it to be unbearable
at times.
Dysesthetic burning sensation may be described as the bluntest pain of which the
human body is capable, and is characterised by the absence of accurate discriminative
information.
Temperature change and heat may both affect the sensation and raise the level of
the steady pain.
This pain sensation may rise from tonic light touch, phasic rubbing, or rough textures
to become evoked pain.
At this point the person often cannot endure the touch of clothing. Their life can
become an exercise in avoiding evoked pain.
