Sharon Brighton

Secondary Progressive MS.

I was one of the informed consent group of people and had received Aimspro to great effect for a while prior to the supply stopping in 2006.

After not having any treatment for over a year my husband Neil drove us both up to see Brian Youl on 27/05/06 to London.

Leading up to this time I had been unable to turn myself over in bed & constantly needed help; my sight was very blurry; to do the most easy of tasks felt as if they were taking ages to complete; my bladder was very difficult to control and all in all my quality of life was at rock bottom.

Now this might seem hard to believe or understand but last month, just a very few moments after receiving the first injection I could perform some very simple tasks when asked to do so which, before the treatment, I had found very difficult to do with my left hand (my M.S.) side.

Now I fully understand those's doubts about new treatments for many health problems but I can assure anybody who needs to know that this treatment does work & not just short term either.

There are so many of us in this situation, maybe we should start up our own MS Society!
