Leaky Gut Syndrome

Describes a condition about damage caused to the gut wall by causative agents such as:

Damage to the gut wall can lead to increased permeability of the gut wall allowing toxins, microbes, undigested food, waste or larger than normal macromolecules to enter the body.

Leaky Gut syndrome is a very unpleasant disorder which is quite wide spread in many diseases and may cause all kinds of problems. Leaks in the gut wall will allow semi digested protein particles to enter the blood stream, detected as foreign bodies they trigger an immune response, creating inflammation and other unpleasant symptoms,

This leads to poor absorption of essential nutrients which in turn creates imbalances because of compromised assimilation.

Food sensitivities, free radical formation, added stress to the liver are all linked to the leaky gut syndrome, leading to a general feeling of fatigue and illness and compromises metabolic activity

Causes of leaky gut should be diagnosed and treated before nutritional deficiency problems can be addressed.
