Multiple Sclerosis

Proventus

It is important to remember that MS is only one part of a person and not the person.

MS does not represent them, it is not their identity, they are as normal as the next person.

Silent MS - Also known as Invisible MS

Some are diagnosed with multiple sclerosis when their MRI’s show lesions in the brain, yet they exhibit no symptoms their entire life. Usually they have been referred for an MRI scan for medical events other than MS. [1]

Sometimes lesions in the brain are discovered during a necropsy (necropsy is a medical procedure that consists of a thorough examination of a corpse to determine the cause and manner of death and to evaluate any disease or injury that may be present). [2]

The MS plaques were located mainly in the periventricular areas, and this may explain the silent nature of the disease.
